Thin sheets made of rice flour. They are used to wrap Vietnamese egg roll – fresh (uncooked) or fried. To be used they first need to be soaked in warm water for a very short time, taken out of the water, laid on a clean and damp kitchen towel and rolled. They can be filled and eaten without being cooked, or rolled in the shape of a cigar, filled with various ingredients and deep-fried, resulting in fried Vietnamese egg roll.
